Took bus 179 to NTU to visit the many canteens there in search of
cheap yet good food as seen in internet blogs. Of interest are the
Executive Cafe and the Western Food.
Executive Cafe, supposedly with food similar to Crystal Jade but at a cheaper price.
However, being totally new to the place, ended up missing the bus-stop entirely.
Well, will try again the next time. At least some experience gained.
Ended up at Blk 964, next to City Harvest Church and Nanyang Community Club.
At least there are 2 coffeeshops there, a KFC, POSB, a dry market and a Prime
Supermarket there so it is like a mini mini town centre. At least I got to know a bit
more about the surrounding area here after moving in for 1 year.
Dinner at Ishi Mura ($12 nett - excluding drinks)
